There is a further update to the Class 24 available on the Updates page to fix the issue with the offset cab position introduced with the last update.

3rd Oct

It has been a while, but we have made a number of updates today.

The 'Black 5' has been updated to optimise the shadow file and correct a couple of issues. The download page has been updated to link to the new version (7).

The built-in 4F, 8F, and Class 24 have all had some updates and the new versions can be downloaded from the updates section along with an updated engine spec for the Gresley A3.

We also have a new loco for you. This is a Stanier 9F, a 'might have been' if the 8F had been developed to increase traction and power. You can download this from the Content section.

We have some more stuff which we hope to add to the website soon, with luck the next update will be a little less of a wait than this one was.

3rd Sep

The updates page now contains a patch to update TC3 to resolve some of the problems users have encountered with the initial release (build 3517)

1st Sep

The 'Black 5' has been updated to resolve a problem discovered with the new steam effects. The download page has been updated to link to the new version.

1st Sep

Our first additional locomotive, a Stanier 5MT 'Black 5' is available from the 'Content' page.

Two more guides to help with various aspects of TC3 have also been added to the Guides page.

  • A document containing track plans of all the stations along the S&C route
  • All the instructions for the sessions
24th Aug

A fix for the animated coupling feature has been added to the 'Updates' section. This was a problem with the coupling of the vacuum pipes and a new ACSLib version to resolve this can be downloaded.

An updated version of the MCV wagon to use ACS instead of Bluestar is on the updates page.

A version of the 3f 'Jinty' locomotive in a fictional red livery is available from the downloads section.

A spreadsheet detailing all the assets contained within the .ja files of TRS2006 is on the hints page.

A number of further guides to help with various aspects of TC3 have been added to the Guides page.

  • A guide to train services and locomotives on the S&C during the 1960s.
  • An overview of the route from Skipton to Carlisle.
  • A guide which covers driving the 9F locomotive on the 'Class C goods' session.
  • A guide to using the new signalling system introduced with Trainz Classics 3.

10th Aug

2 further fixes and improvements added to the 'Updates' section.

  • New version of the Class 24 cab to give clearer windows for better night-time vision.
  • A change to the Aspinall saddle tank loco to correct coal and water capacities.

A re-skin of the class 24 in BR Green livery with a white stripe and small yellow warning panels on the ends has been added to the 'Content' page.

A guide to help with transferring routes (and their dependencies) from TRS2006 into TC3 has been added to the Guides page.

4th Aug

Further fixes and improvements added to the 'Updates' section.

  • New 2 cylinder Stephenson valve gear sound pack (for Aspinall and Jinty)
  • A replacement L&Y whistle for the Aspinall saddle tank loco.
  • New versions of the Aspinall and Jinty to make use of the above.
  • Updates to the MCO and MCV wagons to improve the shadows, add thumbnails and add support for the speed limit rule.

A re-skin of the class 37 in BR Blue livery has been added to the 'Content' page.

1st Aug

A fix for the shadows on the Class 24 locomotives has been added to the 'Updates' section.

A small change to the advice for installing over TC 1&2.

KUID numbers added to items on updates page.

26th July

Some more fixes have been added to the 'Updates' section.

A pack of fixes for a number of the wagons.

A new version of the 3-cylinder steam locomotive sound file.

Updated versions of the A3 engine specs.

I've also added a link on the update page to download all current fixes in a single archive file.

Finally, I've added a brief overview of transferring built-in TRS2006 content from TRS2006 into TC3 to solve missing dependency problems. You can find this on the Hints and Tips page.

20th July

A few new fixes have been added to the 'Updates' section.

A pack of fixes and enhancements for the Class 40 locomotives.

A new version of Skipton Station to resolve a mapping problem with the platform canopy supports.

An update for the Britannia to move the safety valves to the correct location.

17th July

It has taken longer than I hoped but I've finally got the new version of the website online. Hopefully this will now give us the platform to support the release and bring you updates and additions to enhance your enjoyment of Trainz Classics. It may not look much different, but I've re-organised things in the background so we can expand what we have available in the future.

Trainz Classics 3 has now begun shipping and copies are in the hands of the first eager customers. Reviews and feedback are coming in and opinions of all sorts are being posted on the Auran and UKTrainz forums. Why not logon and check out what people are saying about this latest version of Trainz.

As expected a few issues have been discovered and we'll be working on those and making updates available as soon as we have them available. To start this process you'll find an updated version of the Blue/Grey Mk1 BFK coach on the updates page.

Customers who already have Trainz Classics 1&2 should have a look at the install guide on the 'Hints & Tips' page as some problems have been reported with installing TC3 if TC 1&2 are already installed.
